Money grumble

1. There are grumblings about the lack of accounting for the many donations received by the organisation late last year. It is expected that these grumblings will reach a crescendo soon when the balance sheet is summoned for scrutiny.

Childhood helper

2. The lady has been careful to move her childhood helper into every new living situation. And there have been many. But when she decided to make this latest move, the helper refused to follow, saying life in the hills was way too sweet to return to the flats.

Scratch me

3. In addition to the heavy workload that the mayor has found on his plate, some are suggesting that he needs to take careful stock of some of the administrative staff. Everyone is talking about the 'I scratch your back, you scratch mine' policy of the staff member who has a critical job in granting approvals.

Nightly beatings

4. One neighbour has reportedly fallen out with the others in the complex because she feels that by refusing to call in the authorities she is condoning the atrocities being heaped on the sister. The nightly beatings appear to have become worse with the decline in business.
