What about other graduates?
THE EDITOR, Sir:
In a news item last week, I heard the minister of education speaking at the Sam Sharpe Teachers' College graduation. In his message, the minister said that measures would be put in place to ensure that teaching graduates who cannot find jobs will be given temporary ones until they can find permanent ones.
That is very good. However, I must ask, what about the hundreds of University of the West Indies and University of Technology graduates with degrees in various disciplines who are unable to find jobs? Shouldn't there be help for them too? You cannot take care of some and ignore the others.
