TRYALL, Hanover:

Healing the Children North East, a non-profit organisation based in the United States, is partnering with the Tryall Fund in Sandy Bay and the Kiwanis Club of Hopewell to sponsor a free health clinic for pre-school and primary-aged children in Hanover

The clinic, which will run from May 7 to 10, will be held at The Christian Deliverance Center in Hopewell and will be staffed by a volunteer team of dentists and hygienists from the United States.

Terri McGraw, chairperson of the Tryall Fund, stated that Tryall Fund board member Nanci Kraus was instrumental in the coordination of the three volunteer groups.

The team will provide cleaning, extraction, restorative procedures, and instruction in oral hygiene. They will be operating with the expectation of screening and treating at least 100 children daily for each of the four days. Additional help will be provided by volunteers from the Tryall Fund and Kiwanis Club.

The mission will also be documented by graduate student documentary film-makers from the United States.
