Irregular garbage collection is affecting several communities across the Corporate Area and the National Solid Waste Management Authority (NSWMA) is well aware of the problem.

The NSWMA said it just does not have the number of trucks needed to collect the garbage as timely as it would like.

While residents of central Kingston understand the problem facing the company, they cannot continue to live like this.

A garbage heap has developed on the roadway as frustrated residents dump their waste wherever they can.

The NSWMA is being urged to fix this while arranging regular collection from the area so residents do not have to resort to this ugly and unhealthy practice.
