The Leila Robinson Courts will be buzzing with excitement this evening when the unbeaten G.C. Foster Strikers 'A' and Alpha meet in today's feature semi-final of Jamaica Netball Association (JNA)/Supreme Ventures A League, starting 6:45 p.m.
In the day's other semi-final, which will be played simul-taneously, Global United battle Waulgrovians 'B'.
An exciting contest is also expected in the Divisional C League semi-finals, when Waulgrovians 'C' oppose Duhaney Park and Rivoli United 'B' entertain Job Lane United 'B'. Both games are scheduled to start at 5:45 p.m., respectively.
G.C. Foster, who are unbeaten in this year's competition, secured their place in the semi-final with an exciting 36-34 win over Jetsetters 'A', while Alpha recorded a comfortable 47-34 win over Speg 'A' in their quarter-final game.
"It is two evenly balanced teams and both of us have been doing well and this is why we have reached this stage of the competition and so I am expecting a very exciting game," said Dacia Barnes, coach of Alpha.
She added: "Alpha will not be taking G.C. Foster for granted because we know that they have youth on their side, but we plan on using our experience to pull us through to victory."
Alpha will rest their hopes in the hands of goal shooter Natalie Grant, goal attack Suzanne Smith, defender Annakay Morris and goalkeeper Sodannie Campbell.
On the other hand, the C. Lloyd Walker-coached G.C. Foster College will be depending heavily on national defender Sasher-Gaye Lynch, along with invitees Shantal Slater, Nicole Dias and Petal Smith.
The finals of both competitions will be played on Saturday at the same venue.
