When the Jamaican 50 version of The International Men's Collection at StyleWeek Jamaica 2012 unveils at Devon House on May 25, model Orlando Lopez (Saint's male Fashion Face of The Caribbean '09) will use the runways to celebrate exciting developments in his burgeoning international career.

The model, who is signed to Q Model Management in New York and Elite Models in Milan, created quite a stir while he was in Italy as part of his international development programme.

While there, Lopez caught the eye of and was selected by legendary British brand, Burberry, for a special assignment, featuring their latest collection in the fashion capital.

"It was an amazing experience for me going to Milan for the very first time and being selected for this special project. It helped me to get a better understanding of the international fashion business," explained Lopez.

the model says that he has also gained much confidence from the experience.

LEADING BRAND

Burberry has been acknowledged as a leading British luxury brand globally. No doubt, the brand has catapulted many a face in the film and fashion business into superstardom after they appeared in campaigns and international advertising. The brand is often highlighted because its ultra-modern shapes and traditional fabric create an image of unparalleled sophistication.

Lopez was discovered by Saint International's CEO Deiwght Peters in 2009 during a Portland model search.

A graduate of Buff Bay High School, Lopez was clear about his global ambitions to become a fashion star. He has also worked on a development project with Tommy Hilfiger.

"Orlando is in this for the long haul, which means he is not expecting any overnight success. He understands that this industry takes time to develop into a complete star," Peters explained.

The International Men's Collection will highlight the best Jamaican designers alongside leading international menswear lines.

Saint has the proud legacy of establishing some of Jamaica's most outstanding male models, including Tafari Hinds, Doren Bailey, Colet Buckley, Kirk Headley, Kibwe McGann and Mario Miller.

StyleWeek Jamaica runs from May 23-27 and will feature CitiStyle all-white VIP party on the waterfront, High Tea 'N' Style, International Men's Collection, International Mecca Of Style. The series climaxes on May 27 with Meet Me Behind The Runway and Fashionblock.
