PORT-OF-SPAIN, Trinidad (CMC):

Rain ruined West Indies Women's quest to finish their five-match Twenty20 International series against Sri Lanka on a high when the final contest was abandoned after 18.2 overs here yesterday.

West Indies took the series 3-1 after winning the first three matches.

Winning the toss and batting, West Indies had reached 92 for five when the rains came, ending the game prematurely at the Queen's Park Oval.

The weather robbed spectators of seeing the climax of a high-quality innings from Deandra Dottin, who stroked a marvellous unbeaten 52 from 36 balls.
