Kingston and St Andrew Football Association (KSAFA) champions Cavalier are just a point away from being promoted to the National Premier League.

Cavalier have maximum nine points from three matches and face New Green today at Collie Smith Drive at 3:30 p.m. in the Jamaica Football Federation Confederations play-offs.

The KSAFA team drew their last match 1-1 with Volvo but were awarded full points and 3-0 victory after their opponents used an ineligible player.

Cavalier's coach David Laylor is very confident going into today's match.

"I expect the team to do well. I expect them to win, and if they play up to par then they will come out successful," said Laylor.

The Andre Swaby-coached New Green are at the bottom of the play-offs with one point and will be the underdogs today.

Swaby, however, thinks his team has what it takes to come out of today's match with three points, as he believes that they were not outplayed by Cavalier in their previous encounter.

"We believe we can get the three points as in our previous encounters we weren't outplayed by Cavalier or the other teams," said Swaby.

Swaby is of the view that his side had been very tentative in previous matches as "they are carrying the burden of the parish (Manchester) on their shoulders".

In today's other scheduled match, Savannah (six points) will travel to Drax Hall to face Volvo (one point).
