Western Bible Camp

Malvern Chase, St Elizabeth, is the site for Western Bible Camp (WBC).

Varied activities are offered but the focus is on worship and winning souls for Christ. The theme for this year's camp is STAND.

Each camper visits the site for a week.

Junior and senior camp: August 3-10 and August 10-17 respectively. The age range is 7-12 years for juniors and 13-25 for seniors.

Activities include: volleyball, netball, drama presentations, debates, dorm competitions, bible quizzes and a banquet, etc.

There are occasional excursions to Lover's Leap and the beach.

Registration fee is $2,000; camp fee is $5,000. Deadline for registration is July 14.

This camping opportunity is open to everyone across Jamaica. It is a fun, exciting, and enjoyable time of spiritual discovery and self-improvement.

3 p.m. International Summer Camp

The 3 p.m. International Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation which executes programmes for young people 18 years old.

This camp includes behaviour modification techniques, leadership development, literacy development, sports and a plethora of other activities.

The camp is being held in conjunction with the Social Development Commission, Duhaney Park Citizens' Association and The Diabetic Association of Jamaica.

Ages: 7-17

Location: Duhaney Park, Community Centre & football field, Baldwin Crescent, Kingston.

Camera Tech Camp

Dates: July 9-27

Location: Penwood High School, 8 Rhoden Crescent, Kingston 20

Youth: 13-18 years ... $8,000

Parents/Teachers: 18 years and over ... $10,000

The Camara Jamaica Foundation will be hosting a Technology camp this summer

The camp will teach students computer software, networking, computer repairs, refurbishing and building, cloud computing and entrepreneurship.

It will also facilitate parents and teachers with several special courses designed for these groups.
