THEY ARE two of the best-kept secrets in downtown Kingston, but they have failed to avoid the spotlight of The Gleaner, as we continue to track the redevelopment of downtown Kingston.

Having opened its doors last December, Image clothing boutique on Orange Street stands out.

The ultra-modern store stocks the latest in men and women's clothing and offers its customers a First World shopping experience.

From the exquisite layout to the soothing background music, Image represents the change that is taking place in downtown Kingston where, despite the good prices, the stores often leave a lot to be desired.

In the meantime, the Bamboo Restaurant and Lounge on John's Lane has introduced the concept of outdoor dining in style.

The still-under-construction restaurant and lounge has created an outdoor eating area which has become popular on a lane that is undergoing a transformation.
