Weddings are treasured moments and for the bride in particular is a day she has dreamt of and considered even before she meets the groom.

A day as special as this one is worth making as personalised and as detailed according to the dictates of both bride and groom. The day is usually a reflection of personal taste and style allowing for a memorable event.

It is against this backdrop that Sandals Resorts International heeded to the call of the conventional brides and launched its 'Your Wedding, Your Style' showcase in New York two Thursdays ago.

And this they did in grandeur style! at Grand Central Terminal - Vanderbilt Hall in new York City.

With special guest and host for the day Randy Fenoli, popularly known for his role in TLC's hit reality bridal series, 'Say Yes to the Dress', the hall was abuzz with activities.

Acknowledging Sandals Resorts move as a groundbreaking one in destination weddings, Fenoli said "introducing the option of guests having a fully customisable wedding was impressive".

From colour theme, bouquet, table setting, centrepiece, to cake and other special details, brides can create their own wedding packages.

Initially offering pre-planned wedding packages for guests to choose from when planning their destination wedding, Sandals Resorts has now expanded its appeal by allowing customised packages. So in essence, guests get exactly what they want!

And to facilitate this in the most conventional style possible, making planning a lot easier anywhere in the world, guests can do this right at their fingertips, any time in the world and any day.

"We are allowing guests to personalise their wedding from start to finish. And what we are truly excited about is the introduction of our Sandals wedding planning electronic tool. This new offering is really technological driven and everything you want on that day you can do online," said the beaming Sandals Resort's romance director, Marsha Ann Brown.

With this 24-hour online planning concept, guests can be continuously inspired by the over 2,000 images found on the website and can opt to have the guidance of a pre-wedding planner.

Excited about the new innovation which is said to be the first in its kind, Brown says one of the most fascinating things about the online tool is the fact that it is free. "It is free of cost and the beauty about this is, even if you haven't booked, you can go online anywhere in the world and have access. It is really an inspiration."

So no longer do brides have to be restricted to selecting from packages but can exercise their own creativity and ideas to execute their dream wedding. Not only will it be the perfect event, but it will be featured in one of the most magnificent settings in the Caribbean.

With the aim of taking destination weddings to another level, Sandals Resorts is confident that this innovative and strategic move will increase the appeal of destination weddings.

It is an I do affair, your style!
