Hydel, Mona in final

Hydel and Mona will contest tomorrow's final of the Scotiabank Prep Schools cricket competition.The match will be played at the Elletson Road police cricket ground starting at 11 a.m.

Both teams won their matches in Friday's semi-finals played at Kensington Park.

In the first semi-final, Hydel defeated Belair by 56 runs. Batting first, Hydel made 116 for six with Reawin Senior leading the way with 55. Leading bowlers for Belair were Kaymani Grashin, three for 16, and Shamar Robinson, three for 25.

Belair, in their reply, were shot out for 60. Hydel's Renako Gentles bagged three for nine, and Zidane Bogle, three for eight.

In the second semi-final, Mona defeated St James by 53 runs. St James won the toss but sent in Mona, who made 111-6. Jeremy Verley cracked an unbeaten 43 while Matthew Bell scored 10

St James replied with 58 all out. Verley (three for 13) and Tevaughn Mulling, also three for 13, were the destroyers for Mona.
