The five-year-old summer event Sweet Escape is aiming to pleasure patrons with an even sweeter deal than usual tonight at the Police Officers Club, Hope Road, St Andrew.

The event is hailed as the ultimate summer kick-off party. This staging, the promoters hope to fulfill the cliché objective of becoming 'bigger and better'.

Calling themselves Kreative Concepts, for this particular staging the organisers have collaborated with Old Spice and Worthy Park Estate to deliver a new experience to loyal patrons.

Sweet Escape is drink inclusive and the party planners have decided to literally make the experience sweet by providing complimentary sweets and cake for patrons.

Promotions officer for Kreative Concepts, David Bonner, has high expectations for this year's staging of Sweet Escape and express confidence in the final product.

"It doesn't get much better than this - all drinks free, complimentary cake and other sweet treats, free body piercings all night for the ladies, top DJs, live dance floor, giveaways from our sponsors plus a special surprise at midnight," he said.

Sweet Escape will feature ZJ Chrome, ZJ Johnny Kool, ZJ Ice, DJ Sani and DJ Shantonio. The promoters believe this crop is capable of delivering juggling sweet enough for the musical palate. Partygoers longing for that ultimate Sweet Escape will be admitted at a cost of $1,500 presold and $1,800 at the gate.

The party will also have a VIP area offering premium treatment inclusive of food and liquor. However, patrons interested in this package will have to dig deeper in their pockets.

"We've widened our offerings this time around by adding The Old Spice VIP Area to the event. It features premium drink mixes such as daiquiris, piña coladas, apple martinis and delicious cuisine such as jerk pork and chicken, shrimp pasta, curried shrimp, plus more," Bonner said. The VIP tickets are being presold for $2,500 and cost $3,000 at the venue.

Gates at the Police Officers Club will be open at 10 p.m,. and patrons are encouraged to turn out early to experience the party in full. The venue also boasts a designated parking area which will be monitored by security personnel.

Tickets to Sweet Escape can be purchased at Di Trends (Bargain Mall), Genus Pharmacy (Portmore), Xtras (Mall Plaza) and Monarch Pharmacy (Sovereign).
