Police destroy $millions worth of marijuana

PORT-OF-SPAIN (CMC):
Police say they have destroyed marijuana worth an estimated TT$57 million (One TT dollar = US$0.16 cents) in the Moruga forests, south of here over the weekend.
They said the two-day exercise was conducted by the Organised Crime Narcotics and Firearms Bureau, the Southern Division Task Force and the Air Support Unit.
According to the police, they found five marijuana fields with 56,000 fully grown marijuana trees, 18,000 seedlings and 15lb of cured marijuana as well as seven trap guns.
There were two camps on the site, but no one was arrested as a result of the exercise.
