Eden Gardens Wellness Resort and Spa, located at 39 Lady Musgrave Road, St Andrew, will reopen after extensive renovations, next Tuesday. The price tag for the renovations, which now includes more spacious parking facilities, is just over $550 million.

Professor Henry Lowe, executive chairman of the Environ-mental Health Foundation (EHF) group of companies, gave The Gleaner a mini tour of the complex on Wednesday during which he noted that, "With current trends in the development of health tourism globally, the ability of Eden Gardens Wellness Resort & Spa to successfully position itself as an important participant in the growing, positive-lifestyle-and-wellness sector is fortuitous. It is now a model wellness-and-lifestyle centre, offering a range of positive-lifestyle products and services by professional medical, alternative health and wellness practitioners."

Located in the trendy Golden Triangle, a stone's throw from several embassies and the New Kingston business district, the three-storey property boasts defined functional spaces for alternative medical consultation, positive lifestyle services, exquisite dining facilities, luxury gift shops, and luxurious hotel accommodations.

Chief executive officer for EHF, Novlet Deans, listed a number of the offerings, including: herbal, health and beauty facilities; three restaurants that provide healthy and quality dining, entertainment facilities; banqueting and conferencing facilities; alternative medical services such as acupuncture, auriculotherapy, chiropractic treatments and nutrition consultation; a gym and sauna and a spa; as well as luxuriously appointed hotel suites. There will also be consultancy services in anti-aging and counselling as well as experts in detoxification and de-stress therapeutic treatments.

Prime Minister Portia Simpson Miller will be the guest speaker at the opening.
