YogHurt is tasty and great for the body as it has natural enzymes, which are a great source of nutrients. However, did you know that it works great to nourish your hair? It's true. Not only does yoghurt have moisturizing properties, but it also strengthens the hair and gives a smooth, shiny appearance. Here are some great yoghurt recipes you can try at home:

2. Apply the mixture to scalp, working from roots to ends.

3. Let it sit for 15 minutes before rinsing with warm water.

4. Shampoo and condition as usual.

N.B: Try not to add more than 1tsp of apple-cider vinegar as it can actually give a burning sensation to your scalp.

1/2 cup mayonnaise

Egg white from one egg

Directions:

1. Whip all ingredients together in a bowl.

2. Apply to hair, focusing on the ends. Ensure you coat as much of it as possible.

4. Rinse out mixture and shampoo and condition as usual.

N.B: For treatments that use eggs, it is important to note that these MUST be rinsed with cold water.

These yoghurt recipes will definitely improve the health of your hair. The next time you visit the supermarket, remember to pick up a container of yoghurt to give your hair a special, healthy treat.
