Praising anexemplary St Bess teacher

The Junior Achievement Jamaica honoured 14 teachers across the island. Elizabeth Gordon of St Elizabeth was one of those teachers.

I must, therefore, extend honour and appreciation towards her work and success. Gordon is a respectable, kind and tender-hearted person, not only towards her profession, but those around her. Her passion, enthusiasm and hard work have brought her success and made everyone around her happy.

Like many teachers, she has played an important role in the upbringing of our children. Children are the future of our nation. They are our next doctors, lawyers and Cabinet ministers.

Our teachers have an important task of mentoring and nurturing our children into respectable citizens. We must, therefore, give our teachers the credit they deserve.

I'm sure Elizabeth Gordon is not alone, as the principal and staff of Black River High School are smiling with her.
