Tonight fans will see a different side of the 'Supergirl' Denyque, as
the multi-talented artiste showcases her Wet Swim line at Caribbean
FashionWeek (CFW).

Denyque introduced her swimsuit line in 2013, and since then, it has steadily become a staple in the closets of many fashionistas.

"Safia Cooper, director of sales and marketing reached out to me about having my line showcased at the event as this year's fashion show will focus on young, extraordinary fashionistas," she told The Sunday Gleaner.

The Wet Swim collection will feature 15 pieces, featuring bright colours, bold prints and daring cuts inspired by her love of the beach.

"I've always been an 'artsy' person and I have always been interested in broadening my horizons. This line is as a result of blending two of my passions - the beach and swimwear," she said.

Having one's line showcased at one of the top fashion shows in the Caribbean is no minor feat and one which the artiste did not imagine would happen this early in her foray into the industry.

"I feel like I am accomplishing a lot of the things that I set out to accomplish. It feels great. I never imagined that it would be happening at this point. This collection came about because of my love for swimsuits and my appreciation for being an island girl. To see it blossom and grow into something that is being recognised by top fashion icons is truly a blessing," she said.

The Wet Swim line is not for the conservative at heart. In fact, the risque pieces were specifically designed for 'women who don't mind showing a little skin'.

But the swimwear line is not the only thing that will be on show. Denyque will also hit the runway as she will perform some of her hit singles as models strut down the catwalk in her pieces.

"I'll be performing Make Me Believe You, Summer Love and a few of my newer songs. Caribbean FashionWeek is a great place to promote my brand as a fashion designer and also as an artiste. I couldn't be more elated. I am really looking forward to this experience. It's been extremely hectic, but rehearsals have been going well and I can't wait to showcase what I have to offer."
