After the staging of Funfest in Easter this year, the family-oriented event will again be held on Sunday, June 29, at Hope Gardens, Old Hope Road, St Andrew.

Dubbed This Holiday's Biggest Family Festival, the objective is to provide the ideal environment for families to share fun moments together, while fostering family values.

Tshani Jaja, director of FamFun Entertainment which organises Funfest, said that quality family time needs to be reintroduced, and in some cases, strengthened. " I love to see families having fun and spending quality time together. There is no age limit on fun at Funfest," Jaja said.

The activities will include the Tang Xtreme sports zone, a host of rides courtesy of Oreo Fun Zone, a Flavour Splash Water Park, nanny lounge, shopping village, Cadbury Adult Lounge and Tastee Food Village. There will also be a concert featuring magicians, Digicel Brand Ambassador Jermaine Edwards, and 10 year-old Wayne J., among others.

Funfest starts at 10 a.m. and goes until 7 p.m.

Jaja further noted that "at the heart of our vision behind this event is for Funfest to be the catalyst for more family events of this nature in Jamaica. We are thankful to our sponsors, who have been with us since we started in December 2012 and have remained with us in this our fifth staging."

Admission will remain at $600 for adults, $300 for children over three years old and toddlers free. Patrons will be able to purchase a ride-all-day band, which will give them unlimited access to rides at Funfest.
