From the rocky shores of Port Royal to the white sands of Maiden Cay, it was all about Appleton Estate Jamaica Rum's Summer Playground Fantasy (SPF) launch.

With the weekend just around the corner, the launch was a preview of how to enjoy the sand, sun, sea, and cocktails.

According to J. Wray & Nephew's marketing director, Gary Dixon, "Appleton Estate Jamaica Rum is very happy to be returning as the presenting sponsor of SPF - Jamaica's leading premium holiday weekend series for adults. Appleton Estate seeks to offer our consumers enriching experiences, and we are looking forward to working with the M-7 team to deliver a premium experience that surpasses the expectations of our patrons."

The weekend officially kicks off on August 1 with the Cat Cruise, which sets sail from Jewels Dunn's River in the afternoon and continues with BNM: Eye Candy at Cary Island, an old Hollywood glamour-inspired setting overlooking the Caribbean Sea.

The weekend continues on Saturday with the SPF: Pool Lyme and Sponsors Village at Jewels Dunn's River and Fiction Beach, which takes place at Couples Sans Souci.

With the move to its new venue, Bay beach, Soirée SPF-03 will close the SPF Weekend 2014.

According to SPF director, Mark Lindo, the aim of the weekend is to elevate Jamaica's status as a high-end lifestyle destination for sophisticated revelry, providing an escape route for patrons to get away from the hustle and bustle to another world right here in Jamaica for Emancipendence Weekend.

And all those in attendance at the launch couldn't wait. They partied the afternoon away, hopefully saving some for the summer event.
