I feel confident in winning - Davis

Wray & Nephew White Overproof Rum Contender finalist Tsetsi 'Lights Out' Davis promises to do whatever it takes to defeat Sakima Mullings and collect the $2 million prize money, as well as the title of Jamaica's ultimate boxer.

"I feel confident in winning the fight, but I don't go around threatening other boxers. I'm going to fight hard and do what it takes to win the Contender series for the first time," Davis told The Gleaner yesterday.

"I'm glad the day has come for it to be over as to get up every day and train three times per day has been stressful. It is not easy," he stressed.

Although both boxers will be meeting for the first time in a competition, Davis says it should be a close encounter.

"He (Sakima Mullings) is a well-talented youth and I know that it isn't going to be an easy fight. This will be the first time we will fight competitively, but we have sparred many times and know much about each other. Patrons should come out and support a competitive fight," Davis declared.

Davis extended special thanks to J. Wray & Nephew and TVJ for presenting the series.
