Last Saturday night, media was given a first look into a universe filled with beautiful women.

The sashing presentation for Hyundai Miss Universe Jamaica 2014, at Triple Century Sports Bar, saw sponsors, friends and well wishers cheering on their favourite contestants.

From strut failures to nerves, contestants exhibited their fair share of runway faux-pas. In spite of this, a few stood out from the rest, exuding confidence and owning the catwalk.

While natural, unrefined talent was on display, each sway, hair toss and glowing smiles were greeted with whistles and loud applause from supporters in the sports bar.

Sponsors later hit the jackpot when they randomly selected their lucky numbers to see which contestant would represent them in the competition.

Both contestants and sponsors seemed pleased with their 'pageant' union, which was met by a photo-op, as they made their way down the runway one last time as partners.
