Gov't not silent on Gaza
THE EDITOR, Sir:
We note with consternation that there appears in today's edition of The Gleaner a letter by Robert Forbes complaining that there is a deafening silence on the part of the Jamaican Government in relation to the 'Gaza slaughter'.
I say 'with consternation' since there was an editorial in your newspaper on Friday, July 25 substantially agreeing with the public stance taken by the Government on this issue.
We think it would be appropriate for The Gleaner to publish this letter for the benefit of Mr Forbes and others who might be of the same mistaken view.
