Deflated by rare earth setback

Published:Saturday | August 2, 2014 | 12:00 AM

THE EDITOR, Sir:

I take note of the article titled 'Depressed rare earth market puts Jamaica's project on hold' published in The Gleaner on July 30, 2014. Another hope dashed with the reality of the real 'runnings'?

I wish there was better news for us in Manchester who had pinned our hopes on this possibility that could have brought to life the Kirkvine plant, which is all but on complete lockdown with no likelihood of resumption in sight.

Can we still keep our hopes high?
