United Nations officials have reported a clash between soldiers and ex-rebels waiting to be integrated into the army in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
The confrontation is said to have taken place in a major military, after ex-rebels raided a camp weapons depot.
Of the 27 injured, 16 were ex-rebels, 10 army commandoes, and one civilian.
The Congolese Defence Minister is insisting the clash would not threaten the January 23 peace pact.
The integration of the ex-rebels into the national army is part of the pact, which aims to end months of bloody conflict in eastern Dom Republic of Congo, which has displaced almost 500,000 people.
