The world’s fastest man, Jamaican Asafa Powell is unlikely to run in tonight’s Melbourne Grand Prix meeting, the first on the international World Athletics Tour circuit.
Powell said he would wait until the morning of the meet before making a final decision.
Powell fell on a set of stairs the day before leaving Jamaica for Australia, and injured his left knee. It required four stitches to close the wound.
Powell was forced out of last weekend’s World Athletics Tour event in Sydney due to the injury.
