Kenya under the threat of more violence
An international group warned that further violence could erupt in Kenya unless an urgent solution is found for the country’s political crisis.
International Crisis Group ((ICG) said armed groups on both the opposition and government sides are mobilising for fresh attacks.
The ICG reported that Kenya’s opposition warned it would re-launch mass protests in a week, if mediation talks do not break the political deadlock.
Former United Nation (UN) chief, Kofi Annan has been leading the talks in Nairobi.
Violence broke out in Kenya following the December elections after President Mwai Kibaki was declared the winner.
At least 1,000 people have been killed in the post election violence.
