Fire officials are still to determine the cause of the fire that destroyed four Jamaica Urban Transit Company (JUTC) buses at the Portmore depot in St. Catherine last weekend.

Marketing and Sales Manger at the JUTC, Lenworth Simms said he is expecting a report from the fire officials this week.

According to the police, residents reported seeing a fire on the depot’s compound on Saturday night and alerted the fire department.

However, the buses were already destroyed when the police arrived at the depot.

Damage is estimated at $30 million.
