Bog Walk Gorge victim named

The police have identified the man who was killed along the Bog Walk Gorge in St. Catherine yesterday.



He is Caple Tomlinson of Bridgeport in Portmore, St. Catherine.



Mr. Tomlinson died after his vehicle, which was involved in a five vehicle collision, plunged into the Rio Cobre.



The police had earlier identified him as Harry Wright, of a Manchester address based on documents found in his vehicle.



According to Sergeant Osbourne Fearon, of the Spanish Town Police, a man turned up at the Spanish Town police station this morning, claiming to be the dead man’s brother.



Sergeant Fearon said the Bog Walk Gorge would be temporarily closed at 1 pm today for an hour, to facilitate the removal of the motorcar.



Sergeant Fearon said the police are still searching for the driver of the wrecker that caused the accident.



The driver reportedly fled the scene after the collision.
