Young Windies win

The Young West Indies completed a six-wicket victory against Young Papua New Guinea in the Plate semi-final of the International Cricket Council Under 19 World Cup earlier today in Malaysia.

Chasing 90 for victory, West Indies reached the target with 207 balls to spare in the second Plate semi-final.

Kieran Powell top scored with 37 runs.

West Indies dismissed Papua New Guinea for 89 in 36.5 overs, with Shamarh Brooks, Delorn Johnson and N-Krumma Bonner getting two wickets apiece.

West Indies will face off with Nepal in Saturday’s final, in the Malaysia capital of Kuala Lumpur.
