The National Workers Union (NWU) has served a representational rights claim on Jamaica Aluminum Company (JAMALCO).

The union is seeking to represent approximately 280 of the company’s workers.

NWU President, Vincent Morrison said the rights claim was served on the weekend, as the workers have been without union representation since 2001.

Mr. Morrison said the Ministry of Labour would be asked to conduct a poll among the workers, if the company does not respond by March 15.
