Four victories for Jamaica

Jamaican athletes were in good form in the United States at the weekend with four victories at the Big 12 Championships at the University of Nebraska.

Former World Junior representative, Nickeisha Anderson from Kansas University won the 60-metre dash in 7.22.

Anderson won ahead of her Jamaican teammate Simone Facey, representing Texas A&M University.

The other Jamaican winners were Latoya Greaves, Sheryl Morgan and Julian Reid.

Greaves, now competing for Oklahoma University, won the 60 metre hurdles in a season-best 8.21.

Morgan, running for Nebraska University, copped the 600 yards in 1.20.63.

Julian Reid, a freshman at Texas A&M University produced a leap of 7.72 metres to capture the men’s long jump.
