T&T/Jamaica draw

Chris Gayle and Denesh Ramdin both posted centuries, but the fourth round encounter between hosts Trinidad and Tobago and Jamaica finished in a draw at Queen’s Park Oval yesterday.

Gayle struck an even, unbeaten century as Jamaica, chasing a victory target of 249 finished on 199 for six.

Ramdin, scored an unbeaten 106 as Trinidad and Tobago, resuming on their overnight 247 for six, declared their second innings at 336 for nine just before the lunch interval.

T&T 257 and 336 for nine declared, while Jamaica 345 and 199 for six.

Jamaica collected six points from the contest and maintained their lead in the seven-team standings with 42 points.

The Jamaicans are 12 points ahead of defending champions Barbados in second place with 30 points.

T&T picked up three points to push their tally to 19 points for joint third place with Leeward Islands.
