Jamaica’s squad head for Spain

Commonwealth Games 400-metre champion Michael Blackwood, Olympic silver medallist James Beckford, Shevon Stoddart and Davita Prendergast will head Jamaica’s 17-member team to the World Indoor Championships.



The squad, which includes 12 male and five females departs later today for the March 7 to 9 Championships in Valencia, Spain.



The other members of the men’s team are Lerone Clarke, Lancford Davis, Adrian Findlay, Dewayne Barrett, Edino Steel, Decosmo Wright, Maurice Wignall, Yhann Plaummer, Aldwyn Sappleton and Dorian Scott.



Lacena Golding Clarke, Anastasia Leroy and Moya Thompson are the remaining members of the women’s team.
