KC defeat Calabar in Urban League

Former champions Kingston College registered a 3-2 victory against Calabar High as the ISSA Table Tennis Under-19 urban boys’ league continued yesterday.



Despite the defeat, Calabar are still ahead in Group Two with 19 points, three ahead of KC on 16 points.



Meadowbrook is in third place on 8 points.



Defending all-island champions Wolmers’ defeated Campion College 4-1, while St. Georges edged Jamaica College 3-2 and Meadowbrook blanked newcomers Cumberland 5-0.



Wolmers extended its lead atop the standings to 15 points, followed by St. Jago on nine, St. Geroges and JC on seven each and Campion on five.



The top two teams from each group will advance to the semi-finals.



The league continues this afternoon at 2 pm, with three rescheduled Under 19 matches.
