Telecommunication giants Digicel last night launched the 2008 West Indies cricket home series at Sabina Park in Kingston.

The Digicel Home Series bowls off in Guyana on March 22 when the West Indies take on Sri Lanka in the first of two Tests at Providence.

The final Test is scheduled for the Queen’s Park Oval in Trinidad from April 3 to 7. Three One Day Internationals will follow the Test series.

Australia will arrive in the Caribbean on May 12, and the tour will end on July 6.

The Aussies will play three Test matches, a 20/20 International and five One Day Internationals.

The first Test will take place at Sabina Park from May 22 to 26.

Digicel’s sponsorship of West Indies cricket was extended in 2007 for a further four years.

The deal is worth US$20 million until 2012.
