Caribbean major drug trafficking point
A new UN report has given the Caribbean mixed grades in its battle against drug trafficking.
According to the report, the region continues to be a major transshipment point for drugs.
The report said the drug trade is becoming more sophisticated and organised, with local criminal gangs increasingly cooperating with their regional neighbours to traffic narcotics.
The UN suggested that the dismantling of local gangs is one way of tackling the drug trade in the region.
