Cash Plus workers to be paid

Several workers at telephone company MegaPhone whose positions were made redundant on Tuesday should receive their payment packages tomorrow.

The workers were reportedly given redundancy letters by the parent company Cash Plus Limited without notice.

Minister of Labour and Social Security, Pearnel Charles said the dispute between the employees has been resolved.

He said Cash Plus Limited was unable to pay the workers, due to several issues with some banking institutions in Jamaica.

Mr. Charles said the company has made arrangements with overseas financial institutions for the employees to be paid.
