The Spanish Town police are continuing their search for the driver of a vehicle, which was said to be involved in yesterday’s alleged shoot-out with the police in the town.

An 11-month old infant was killed during the incident, which happened around 4 p.m., on March Pen Road.

The police said they were chasing the vehicle, when they were fired on by its occupants.

Deputy Superintendent of Police, Derrick Champagnie is appealing to the driver of the motorcar to turn himself in to the police.

DSP Champagnie said it is not certain whether the driver was operating a taxi.

The Bureau of Special Investigations (BSI) has since launched a probe into the incident.
