The Jamaican Parliament will today join other Commonwealth Parliaments around the world in observance of Commonwealth Day, under the theme: ‘The Environment, Our Future.’

To mark the day several activities will be undertaken in collaboration with the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA).

An exhibition on the Commonwealth and the CPA will open to public viewing at the Knutsford Court.

The exhibition will later be relocated to Parliament\'s Chamber Lobby, where Parliamentarians and members of the public will be able to view it during the week.

Commonwealth Day is celebrated on the second Monday in March each year.

It aims to promote understanding on global issues, international cooperation and the work of the Commonwealth to improve the lives of its 1.8 billion citizens.
