Truck driver to appear in court

A truck driver who fled the scene of a fatal accident in St. Catherine on Saturday night is scheduled to appear in the Linstead Resident Magistrates court today.
Stephen Miller, 29, is charged with failing to stop at the scene of an accident that resulted in the death of a woman.
Sandra Masters, 33, of Main Street, Ewarton was killed, while attempting to cross the Ewarton main road.
According to the police, around 9 p.m. Miller was driving a motor truck along the Ewarton main road when the woman was hit.
She sustained severe injuries and was taken to the Linstead Hospital, but was pronounced dead on arrival.
Mr. Miller, did not stop at the scene of the accident scene but was later intercepted by police and arrested.
The Ewarton Police are awaiting the results of a Coroners Inquest to determine whether he should be charged for her death.
