Published:Monday | March 17, 2008 | 2:34 PM

Several bus and taxi operators in Port Maria, St. Mary, have withdrawn their services and blocked the main roadways into the town.

The bus and taxi drivers are upset that some of their colleagues have been jailed for not wearing the required uniform.

President of the National Council of Taxi Operators, Dion Chance said the taxi and bus operators are required to travel into Kingston to make arrangements to get their badges.

He is calling for the Transport Authority to make the process easier.
