Jamaica defeat Leewards

Jamaica got its CLICO-sponsored West Indies Regional Under 15 cricket campaign off to a perfect start in Dominica yesterday.

The Jamaicans defeated the Leeward Islands by nine wickets in their opening game at the Portsmouth Ground.

Captain Donovan Nelson of St. Elizabeth Technical High School (STETHS) bagged five for 18 as the Leeward Islands were dismissed for 113.

Jamaica replied with 114 for one in the 14th over.

John Campbell of Tacky High top scored with 48. Excelsior High’s Ramon Senior supported with an unbeaten on 43.

Jamaica will now face Trinidad and Tobago today.

The Windward Islands and Guyana also registered big victories.
