Portland woman gets bail

A woman in Portland who is accused of killing her common law husband was yesterday offered $100,000 bail when she appeared in the Buff Bay Resident Magistrates.

Nadine Gregory, of Anchovy Land Settlement in the parish reportedly stabbed her 21 year old boyfriend, Tafari Gregory during a dispute last Wednesday.

The police said the two were involved in an argument when a knife was used to stab Gregory in the left shoulder.

He died while undergoing treatment in the Port Antonio hospital.

Ms. Gregory is scheduled to return to court on April 16 to answer the murder charge.
