Prime Minister visits South Florida

Prime Minister, Bruce Golding is to leave the island today for an official visit to South Florida in the US.



Mr. Golding is expected to address Jamaicans at a town meeting at the Nova Southeastern University, and a church service at the Seventh Day Adventist Church at Marantha on Saturday.



He will deliver the main address at an awards ceremony for twelve Jamaicans at a special ceremony on Sunday.



The Jamaicans are to be awarded for their involvement in the welfare of the local oversees communities, as well as their contribution to Jamaica’s development in education, health, social services and trade.



The Prime Minister will return to the island on Sunday.



During his absence Deputy Prime Minister, Dr. Ken Baugh will be in charge of the government.
