The government of Bermuda said it would be recruiting at least 100 police officers from the Caribbean in a bid to increase the capacity of the country’s police force.

The authorities said they have already identified 31 officers from the region as candidates.

They also said another 70 candidates are expected to arrive on the island to undergo training.

Police Commissioner, George Jackson said he has already travelled to several Caribbean islands to meet with potential recruits.
