Two former members of the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) who are in custody overseas are to be deported to Jamaica to face murder charges.

The two, whose names are being withheld, fled to the United States after being implicated in two controversial killings.

Acting Assistant Commissioner, Granville Gause said one of the policemen is to be charged in connection with the 2002 fatal shooting of nine year old Rene Lyons of Seaview Gardens, St. Andrew.

He said the other policeman, who is wanted in connection with a separate incident, was traced after he applied for a Jamaican passport.

The two policemen are reportedly only two of 20 who are on the run, following rulings by the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP).
