The National Water Commission (NWC) said several Spanish Town communities would experience water disruption starting today.

According to the NWC, the disruption is necessary to facilitate improvement work being carried out in Greater Spanish Town.

The NWC’s Community Relations Officer for the Eastern Division, Karen Clacken, said the improvement work forms part of an $85 million Kingston Metropolitan Area water supply improvement project.

She explains that arrangements have been made for water to be trucked to the affected communities during the six weeks of disruptions.
