Jamaican surfers return

Jamaica’s Master surfers are back in the island after finishing a disappointing 10th at the 2008 World Masters’ Surfing Championship in Lima, Peru.



Team Jamaica’s best performances came from Masters Drum Drummond and Eugene Miller, Grand Master Michael Mair and Grand Kahuna, Terrence Muschett who all advanced out of the first rounds.



The tournament was won by Team South Africa, which outclassed the world’s best 35 year old and older surfers.



Team Australia was second, Brazil third and Peru finished fourth. 17 countries took part in the championship.
