Corrupt cop to appear in court

The St. Ann policeman and his son who are charged for breaching the Corruption Prevention Act are scheduled to appear in court today.

Detective Sergeant, Nowell Morgan and his son Moorelando were offered bail in the sum of $350,000 each when they last appeared in the St. Ann’s Bay Resident Magistrate Court.

Resident Magistrate Carol Edwards also ordered that the men surrender their travel documents and report daily to the Port Maria police in St. Mary.

A stop order has also been imposed against the men.

Detective Sergeant Morgan who is assigned to the Ocho Rios Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) was arrested in St. Ann on March 13.

His son is a teacher in Oracabessa St. Mary.
